Lisé Cooke – Owner/Art Director

I love my job, because of the ability to give people confidence by making them look and feel beautiful. The creativity and artistry of hairdressing inspired me to educate myself on everything I could to perfect my craft and led to the opening of Progressions Hair Design Team in 1986. I started an assistant program to share my knowledge with new stylists, which has proven to be another rewarding experience for me. In 2004, with encouragement from my wonderful clients, I opened Progressions Salon and Spa so they could experience an entire day of head to toe beauty and relaxation. Recently, I added the Wig Boutique to help those experiencing hair loss or thinning hair find new confidence. I’ve trained with masters from Vidal Sassoon, Sebastian ,Tigi, Mayrix, and Paul Mitchell to name a few, while also attending international shows in Paris, Milan, Amsterdam, New York, Chicago, Orlando, and Dallas. After 45 years behind the chair, I have retired from hairdressing, but I still head up the assistant program and remain dedicated to maintaining a friendly, passionate, and specialized staff committed to exceeding your expectations!

Karen Routh – Co-Owner/Manager

I am happy to be fulfilling a lifelong dream of joiing my mother, Lisé Cooke, in ownership of Progressions Salon and Spa. My goal is to continue her legacy of excellent service, professionalism, and state-of-the-art style. Growing up in the industry, and watching my mother perfect her craft, led me to work alongside her as a nail technician for almost 30 years. Being able to continue my work at Progressions allows me an opportunity to be present in the business, maintaining the positive and upbeat environment we keep for both our staff and clientele. My hope is to pass the Progressions legacy on to my grandchildren, as it has benefited me in so many ways.

Nona Dixon – Couture/Deva Curl Certified

I started in this industry as an aesthetician in 2005. In 2008 I graduated from DCCC with my cosmetology license. Over the years hair has become my passion. I regularly attend classes to maintain my knowledge on new trends and techniques and have trained with many highly proclaimed artists. My certifications include the Deva Cut and Brazilian Blowout. I provide all services from hair color, hair cutting, blonding, waxing, skincare, makeup to updos. My client’s confidence and satisfaction are my number one priority.

Sammy Gallagher – Artistic Designer / Brazilian Blowout Certified / Olaplex Certified

In my chair, we take a look at two important goals – what keeps your hair healthy and what makes you feel fantastic. I make it my ultimate goal to achieve both of those things with each and every client. My bread & butter is corrective color, though I also love giving clients the blonde hair of their dreams & a lived-in balayage look. My favorite cuts to perform are pixie cuts & textured layered cuts. Most of all, my favorite services to provide are the ones that leave you feeling magical. I strive to provide a warm and comfortable atmosphere. I look forward to seeing you in my chair!

Mary Claire Hildebrand – Couture Designer/DevaCurl Certified, Brazilian Blowout

Hi, I am Mary Claire but you can call me MC! I am originally from Greensboro, NC. I moved to Charlotte, NC in 2004 to study Fashion Marketing, at the Art Institute of Charlotte. I continued my journey in the fashion world by undergoing an extensive training program under Edward Woody; owner of Folice Salon & Spa. This industry is always changing & I believe it’s tremendously important to stay up to date on the latest trends. What strives me to keep educating is being able to be creative & make people feel exuberant. I believe if you look good, you will feel good too. Candice Johnson – Artistic Designer

Growing up I spent most of my childhood in a Salon atmosphere, which is where my passion for this industry grew. It became a dream of mine to become an amazing hairdresser like the women I grew up admiring. My goal as your stylist is to make you feel confident and beautiful while maintaining the health & integrity of your hair. My specialties include blonding & dimension. Emily Johnson – Designer / Brazilian Blowout Certified

Enhancing a client’s natural beauty is what I strive for. I have diverse knowledge in men’s cuts, textured cuts, as well as color correction on damaged or boxed dyed hair. My objective with every client is to take in their wants, your hair needs & your end result goal. I take pride in using the best natural products for my clients, not only is it better for your hair but better for our environment as well. Some of my favorite art to create is
balayage & lived in blondes.

Growing up in a salon environment helped me to realize I loved every aspect of the beauty industry. Giving my clients more confidence with the perfect cut, color, and hairstyle they want and love is my main priority. I specialize in cutting, styling, blonding, and vivid colors. Holly Rae – Couture Designer

I’m a true artist at heart and enjoy using my creativity to help others feel and look their best. I have been in the industry for 16 years. I started at a young age loving everything to do with makeup and hair. For the first ten years of my career, I focused on perfecting my cut and color skills and have recently been barbering and specializing in men’s cuts, so I can fade with the best of them. I enjoy spa services as well and am studying to become a massage therapist and utilize these skills by giving relaxing manicures and pedicures. I truly specialize in all services and strive for client satisfaction.

Karen Routh – Licensed Nail Tech

Being a licensed nail technician has been my passion and my profession for over 20 years. My goal is to please my clients with excellent service, attention to detail, and my genuine desire for them to look and feel great. I concentrate on performing relaxing manicures and pedicures, focusing on the cuticle area, massaging pressure points and a detailed polish. I ensure my knowledge of trends and new products by continuing my education on a regular basis. I specialize in pink and white acrylics done by hand to create a naturally sculpted look using Tammy Taylor Professional nail products.

Selina Derboghosian – Licensed Nail Tech

My passion for nails sparked in 1995 and has blossomed ever since. Working in this industry is my favorite because I LOVE meeting such amazing people and creating not only magic on their nails but creating a lifetime bond. My specialty includes Acrylic Nails- Manicures & Pedicures as well as our Slick Pour System. I take pride in keeping the health of your nail while achieving your nail goals.
